LED WASHGRAZE Frequently Asked Questions
| Q. What is your warranty policy? | |
| A. Our products are warranted against defects of manufacture for 3 years from date of purchase, providing they have been subjected to normal use and service. Any replacement will be made at no charge except for necessary shipping charges. Our products are currently not field serviceable. Opening the fixture will void the product's warranty. | |
| Q. What power supplies are compatible with your LED WashGraze? | |
| A. The LED WashGraze uses "Class 2" 24 VDC power supplies. Click here to view our recommended power supplies. | |
| Q. If a WashGraze system is installed on a building and 24 months later, one of the arrays or fixtures fails, how do you make sure that the replacement is not brighter or somehow different than the fixtures still installed and working on the building? | |
| A. Please send the failed unit to DDP for evaluation so we can determine if the unit needs to be replaced or repaired. If the unit is not repairable, we will ask you to send a working unit so we can match light output with replacement part. | |
| Q. How do you keep record of stock and production dates to address binning and light output mismatches on any future replacement part? | |
| A. We mark each fixture with a job number and date codes. These codes allow us to provide proper color and light output selection for future replacement fixtures. | |
| Q. Is your LED WashGraze compatible with standard dimming controls? | |
| A. The LED WashGraze accepts 0-10V signal for dimming. Three sets of wires are allocated for dimming function. Please click here to view recommended dimmers and here for dimming installation. Note that some TRIAC dimmers are not compatible with the LED WashGraze product. | |
| Q. How far away can you install the power supplies from fixture without experiencing voltage drop? | |
| A. Standard length is from 6ft to a maximum of 10ft. | |
| Q. How far away can the AC source be from the power supply? | |
| A. There is no limitation on cable length. Note that it is the customer's responsibility to comply with existing electrical city codes when installing our fixture. | |
| Q. Can I use a single dimmer to control the light output of several units connected to individual power supplies? | |
| A. Yes. A single dimmer can control a maximum of 10 ft fixtures connected to individual power supplies. Parallel connection of dimming cables can be done using terminal blocks. Contact factory for assistance for installation set-ups not currently illustrated in our wiring and operations manual. | |
| Q. How many fixtures can you cascade in a single power supply? | |
| A. You can cascade up to 4ft on a 17W version and 8ft on a 8W version. Please refer to page 2 of the LED WashGraze Instruction Manual to determine required power supply wattage. | |
| Q. Do we need junction boxes or wet dry enclosures when installing power supplies? | |
| A. Power supplies may be installed outdoors without using wet-dry enclosures if the units are rated for wet-dry environments. Please click here to view our list of recommended power supplies. | |
| Q. Can you offer a turn-key product, where the fixture, power supply, cabling and j-boxes are all included? How much would that add to the pricing? | |
| A. Yes we can offer a turn-key product solution. Please ask our Sales Reps to provide a complete lighting package when quoting for a project. The lighting package will include the fixtures, power supplies, cables and wet-dry enclosures (if required). Pricing will need to be determined depending on the size of the project. | |
| Q. Can you install power supplies in parallel? | |
| A. No. There is a 4 amp limitation on Class 2 rated power supplies. Parallel installation will increase the total load on the cables. | |
| Q. What is the total luminaire efficacy of the LED WashGraze? | |
| A. The LED WashGraze have a nominal delivered light output of 830 lumens per foot (cool white) and input of 21 Watts for a delivered efficacy of greater than 40 lumens per watt. Please refer to our IES files online. | |
| Q. Is the LED WashGraze Energy Star Compliant? | |
| A. Energy Star just released Category A additions covering standards for Wall Washer. This will take effect in September 2008. We will submit our products as soon as standards are in place. | |
